Tip #1: In case you already use Q-Tips, then be sure to hold the Q-Tip one inch away from the cotton tip that you’re inserting into your ear. This will assure that you never make accidental contact with your ear drum, that can cause injury. The wax glands which make the earwax are near the outside edge of the canal, thus this depth must be safe and sufficient. Use a rotating motion, swabbing all sides of the canal. Do not have a plungering motion, which ultimately drives and compacts the wax more deeply into your canal. (FYI: the cleanest ears we see use Q-Tips daily, but just when done safely & properly.)

While enjoying a warm shower, take out the handheld part of your showerhead and irrigate each ear for 1 2 minutes, 1 2 days a week. The warm water will liquefy the wax and expel every other unnecessary debris from the ears of yours. Handheld shower heads are available at most retail or home improvement stores.

Tip #3: Use hydrogen peroxide or perhaps pure virgin organic olive oil to first loosen a lot of aged wax from your canal. Allow the solution to stand in the ear of yours for 5-10 minutes with your head tipped to the side area, and after that get rid of with water which is warm from a bulb syringe or using the method shown in Tip #2 above.
